UFC Vegas 64 Results

A match up in the top ten at women’s strawweight headlines this weekend’s card as MMASucka provides UFC Vegas 64 results throughout the evening. Also, an exciting matchup at welterweight goes down in the co-main event.

UFC Vegas 64 Results – Main Event

Sitting at number three in the strawweight division, Marina Rodriguez looks to improve her current win streak to five wins as she tries to earn her first UFC title shot. In her way is the seventh ranked contender at strawweight, Amanda Lemos.

Rodriguez made her debut in 2018 after a successful showing on the Contender Series Brazil. She made her debut with an undefeated record of 10-0, facing off against Randa Markos at UFC Fight Night 137. That fight ended in a majority draw putting her record at 10-0-1. After that, Rodriguez won back-to-back unanimous decisions with the first over Jessica Aguilar at UFC on ESPN 2 followed by another over Tecia Torres at UFC Fight Night 156. In her fourth UFC outing, Rodriguez fought to another majority draw when she faced Cynthia Calvillo at UFC on ESPN 7.

After that second draw, Rodriguez suffered her first loss as a professional when she lost to Carla Esparza by split decision at UFC on ESPN 14. Esparza has of course gone on to win the strawweight title since that fight. As for Rodriguez, she has gone on to win her last four in a row as she works her way towards a title shot. The first of those wins she picked up was a TKO win over Amanda Ribas at UFC 257. That was followed by a unanimous decision win over Michelle Waterson in Rodriguez’s first main event at UFC Vegas 26. Her next outing was another unanimous decision win as she beat McKenzie Dern in her second main event at UFC Vegas 39. Finally, her most recent win happened earlier this year at UFC 272 when she defeated Yan Xiaonan by split decision. Sitting at number three in the division, picking up her fifth straight win could put Rodriguez in a spot to challenge for the title.

Standing in her way is seventh ranked strawweight contender Amanda Lemos. Lemos made her UFC debut the year before Rodriguez, in 2017. She was 6-0-1 when she made her debut at UFC Fight Night 113 against Leslie Smith. Lemos ended up losing that fight as Smith finished her in the second round by TKO. After that, she won her next five straight fights. The first of those wins was a submission win over Miranda Granger at UFC Fight Night 165. Following that was a unanimous decision win over Mizuki Inoue at UFC on ESPN 15.

In her next two fights, Lemos put together back-to-back first round TKO wins over Livia Renata Souza at UFC 259 and Montserrat Ruiz at UFC Vegas 31. Lemos’ fifth straight win came by split decision against Angela Hill at UFC Vegas 45. Her five fight win streak was snapped earlier this year when she suffered a first round submission loss to Jessica Andrade in her first main event at UFC Vegas 52. Lemos has been able to bounce back since then as she picked up a second round submission win over Michelle Waterson at UFC on ABC 3 in her most recent fight. Picking up a win over Rodriguez could put Lemos in the top five of the division and one or two more wins away from a title shot.

UFC Vegas 64 Results – Co-Main Event

In Saturday’s co-main event, a pair of top-fifteen ranked welterweights face off as Neil Magny takes on Daniel Rodriguez.

Dating back to 2020, Magny has put together a record of 5-2. He won three straight fights in 2020, all by unanimous decision. The first of them was at UFC 248 when he defeated Li Jingliang, followed by Anthony Rocco Martin at UFC 250 and finally, former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC Fight Night 175. Following those wins, Magny’s win streak was snapped when he lost to Michael Chiesa by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC on ESPN 20.

After that loss, Magny put together another two straight wins with a unanimous decision win over Geoff Neal at UFC Vegas 26 and a split decision win over Max Griffin at UFC on ESPN 33. Magny will be entering Saturday’s fight with Rodriguez coming off of a loss after his two fight win streak was snapped by Shavkat Rakhmonov by second round submission at UFC Vegas 57.

As for Rodriguez, he made his UFC debut in 2020, picking up a second round submission win over Tim Means in his first outing at UFC Fight Night 167. That win was followed by a unanimous decision win over Gabriel Green at UFC on ESPN 9 and a first round knockout win over Dwight Grant at UFC on ESPN 15. He suffered his first loss in the UFC following the win over Grant as he dropped a unanimous decision to Nicolas Darby at UFC 255.

Since then, he has won four straight fights, starting with a unanimous decision win over Mike Perry at UFC Vegas 23. After that, Rodriguez finished Preston Parsons by first round TKO at UFC Vegas 31. His third straight win came at UFC Vegas 35 when he defeated Kevin Lee by unanimous decision. Finally, in Rodriguez’s most recent fight, he fought Li Jingliang in a catchweight fight after the craziness of UFC 279‘s fight week. He won that fight by split decision for his fourth straight win.

UFC Vegas 64 Results – Main Card

Kicking things off for UFC Vegas 64 will be a lightweight matchup between Grant Dawson and Mark Madsen. Dawson enters the fight with an undefeated UFC record of 6-0-1 as his most recent outing was a third round submission win over Jared Gordon at UFC Vegas 53. Madsen will be entering the fight with an undefeated professional record of 12-0 as he last fought earlier this year when he defeated Vinc Pichel by unanimous decision at UFC 273.

Following that first fight will be a flyweight bout between Tagir Ulanbekov and Nate Maness. Ulanbekov comes into the fight with a UFC record of 2-1. He suffered his first UFC loss in his last fight when Tim Elliott defeated him by unanimous decision at UFC 272. As for Maness, he makes his debut in the flyweight division after having previously competed at bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight throughout his career. In his most recent outing, he lost to Umar Nurmagomedov by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 57.

Finally, before the co-main event goes down, there will be a matchup in the featherweight division between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. Minner is coming into the fight on a two fight losing streak following a TKO loss to Darren Elkins at UFC Vegas 32 followed by a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Hall at UFC 269. As for Nuerdanbieke, he enters the fight on a two fight win streak following back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Sean Soriano at UFC Vegas 43 and TJ Brown at UFC Vegas 57.
